USA Income Tax Brackets (2025/26)
The United States uses a progressive federal income tax system. You don't pay the top rate on all income — only on the portion that falls within each bracket. For single filers in 2026: 10% on income up to $11,925; 12% on $11,926–$48,475; 22% on $48,476–$103,350; 24% up to $197,300; 32% up to $250,525; 35% up to $626,350; and 37% above that. On top of federal tax, FICA taxes add 7.65% (6.2% Social Security + 1.45% Medicare) on earned income.
UK Income Tax & National Insurance (2025/26)
In the UK, the first £12,570 is your tax-free Personal Allowance. Above that, you pay 20% (Basic Rate) up to £50,270, 40% (Higher Rate) up to £125,140, and 45% (Additional Rate) above that. National Insurance (NI) contributions at 8% apply between £12,570 and £50,270, and 2% above £50,270.
Canada Income Tax (2025/26)
Canada's federal tax brackets range from 15% to 33%, with a Basic Personal Amount of $15,705 that reduces your taxable income. Provincial taxes add an average of 9–13%, and CPP contributions (5.95% up to $73,200) and EI premiums (1.66%) are also deducted. This calculator uses average provincial rates for a general estimate.
Australia Income Tax (2025/26)
Australia's tax brackets are: 0% up to $18,200; 19% ($18,201–$45,000); 32.5% ($45,001–$135,000); 37% ($135,001–$190,000); 45% above $190,000. A 2% Medicare Levy applies for most taxpayers. The Low Income Tax Offset (LITO) reduces tax for those earning below $66,667. Note: Superannuation (11.5%) is paid by your employer separately and doesn't reduce your take-home pay.
