1. Editorial Mission

RankPowr publishes educational articles, how-to guides, and explanatory content to accompany the free tools on the platform. The editorial mission is to help readers understand the concepts behind the calculations they perform — not to replace qualified professional advice.

Content is written to be accurate, clearly sourced, and honest about limitations. We do not publish content designed primarily to rank for traffic without providing genuine informational value to readers.

2. Authorship & Expertise

All articles on RankPowr are researched and written by Rajesh Kumar Ram, the founder of RankPowr. He is a web developer with a background in computer science who has studied personal finance systems across multiple countries.

Disclosure: Rajesh Kumar Ram is not a licensed attorney, certified financial planner, accountant, or medical professional. Content on RankPowr is written from the perspective of a financially literate layperson who has researched the topic carefully using primary sources, not from the perspective of a licensed practitioner.

Where content touches on areas requiring professional expertise (law, tax, medicine), we prominently disclaim this limitation and recommend consulting a licensed professional.

3. Research & Sourcing Standards

We rely on primary and authoritative secondary sources. Our sourcing hierarchy:

  1. Primary government data: IRS, Federal Reserve, CFPB, Social Security Administration, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, equivalent bodies in the UK (HMRC, ONS), Canada (CRA, Statistics Canada), and Australia (ATO, ABS).
  2. Academic and peer-reviewed research: Published finance and economics research, university publications.
  3. Industry organizations: Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, MBA (Mortgage Bankers Association), and similar bodies for rate data and standards.
  4. Reputable news and financial media: Used sparingly and only for current rate references, not for methodology.

We do not use unverifiable statistics, self-reported surveys from unknown sources, or content farms as sources. When a statistic cannot be traced to a primary or authoritative source, we do not publish it.

4. YMYL Content Policy

YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) refers to content that could significantly affect a person's financial stability, legal standing, health, or safety. We take additional precautions with this category.

Legal content (personal injury, settlement estimates)

Settlement calculators and injury compensation guides are educational reference tools only. Every such page carries a prominent banner disclaimer at the top of the page and within the article stating that the results are not legal advice and that users should consult a licensed attorney.

These pages are set to noindex to prevent them from ranking in search results, as they are intended as supplementary educational tools for users who have already navigated to the site.

Financial content (loans, mortgages, credit)

Financial calculator articles explain the mathematical methodology and general reference rates. They are not personalized financial advice. We prominently state that actual rates, terms, and outcomes depend on the user's specific circumstances, lender, and jurisdiction.

Tax content

Tax calculators provide estimates only. Tax law changes frequently and varies by jurisdiction. All tax-related content recommends consulting a qualified tax professional for actual tax planning.

5. Calculator & Tool Accuracy

Tool calculations are built on standard, documented mathematical formulas:

We test calculator outputs against multiple reference calculators and published examples before publishing. Known limitations (e.g., a salary tax tool that uses simplified bracket rates rather than full multi-jurisdiction tax code) are stated clearly in the tool description or article.

If you find a calculation error, please report it to contact@rankpowr.com with the specific inputs and expected result. We investigate and correct confirmed errors promptly.

6. Content Review & Updates

Articles are reviewed and updated when:

All articles display their original publication date and the date of the most recent material update. Date updates are made only when the content itself changes — we do not refresh dates on unchanged content.

7. Corrections Policy

We are committed to correcting factual errors promptly and transparently.

To report an error: email contact@rankpowr.com with the subject line "Correction Request" and include the article URL, the specific error, and the correct information with a source if available.

8. Editorial Independence & Advertising

RankPowr is supported by Google AdSense display advertising. Advertising is served automatically by Google's platform — advertisers have no influence over, and no access to, editorial content.

We do not accept sponsored posts, paid placements, or advertiser-influenced content. No tool, article, or recommendation on RankPowr is paid for by a third party.

Affiliate disclosure: Some articles contain affiliate links — clearly labeled in accordance with FTC guidelines. See the Affiliate Disclosure for full details. Affiliate relationships do not influence which tools or services we recommend or how we write about them.
